How the Daily Question works
Every day there is one short science statement. You read it, choose Myth or Fact, and get one answer per day. Right after you pick, you see whether you got it, a short explanation, and a link to the full article if you want the whole story.
The question changes at midnight where you live, because it follows the date on your own device. Everyone on the same date gets the same question, so you can compare notes with a friend without spoiling anything: the share button sends your streak and the date, never the answer.
Your streak counts the days in a row that you answered, right or wrong. A wrong answer never hurts it, so guess boldly. Skipping a day starts it over at the next answer. Streaks of 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days each unlock a sticker for your shelf.
Where the questions come from
Every question draws only on one of our own referenced articles, and each explanation sends you to the article it came from. That article lists its sources, explains what the evidence can and cannot show, and says when a number is an estimate or a model. Dr. Pippa is our fictional animated host, so her reactions on this page are jokes and not science claims.
